Writing from your own domain is a matter of trust; quoting from a gmail address makes a company look smaller than it is. On the technical side the time goes not into opening mailboxes but into making sure the mail actually arrives. If the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are wrong, what you send drops into the recipient’s spam folder or never shows up at all. With no records at all, anyone can send mail in your name.

Google Workspace or our own server?
With a small headcount, Workspace or Microsoft 365 is easier and more reliable. Running your own mail server means managing sending reputation, which is a full-time occupation. For most companies we advise against it.
Do our old messages move across?
Yes, folder structure included, along with calendars and contacts. During the switch both systems run in parallel for a while so nothing is lost.
Why does our mail go to spam?
Usually one of three: missing records, a sending server with poor reputation, or bulk sending mixed in with corporate mail. We measure all three and report back.
